Wedding FAQ
Below are the most frequently asked questions to help you get started!
How soon should I start planning my wedding flowers?
We recommend that you book your venue first and then contact us to discuss your floral needs. The venue that you select will often help to shape the floral details of your wedding. We find that we generally meet with most of our couples for the first time between six and twelve months before their wedding, but there are plenty of exceptions. Our calendar does fill quickly, so the further we are from your wedding, the more likely we are to be available on your wedding date!
How can I prepare for my initial consultation?
We love to see lots of visual information about your wedding to help us ensure we capture your vision for your wedding! When you return your floral questionnaire, please email us your Pinterest board, if you have one, and any other pictures that inspire the look of your wedding, whether those include florals or otherwise, such as pictures of your bridal gown, bridesmaids’s dresses, and linen swatches. We also love venue floor plans to help in the planning process.
how much should I budget for my wedding flowers?
Wedding professionals often say that flowers will cost ten percent (10%) of your wedding budget, and while we have found that to be a useful guideline, every wedding is different. We believe every couple should have the wedding of their dreams and we will work together to create an ideal wedding floral plan for any budget!
Investment for custom floral design generally begins at $6,000 and peak season rates may be increased.
how can i maximize my wedding flower budget?
Popular ways to maximize your wedding budget include picking your wedding flowers up from our studio, eliminating delivery and installation fees; and returning rental items to our studio yourselves, or using simple glass vases that don’t need to be returned, eliminating the end-of-event pick-up fee.
It is also true that the more design flexibility we have in flower selection, the more easily we can accommodate any budget. To keep costs down, consider providing just a color palette and general look and allowing us to select in-season blooms to create that look within your budget!
What other wedding services beyond floral design do you offer?
We are primarily a floral design studio however, if you are looking for non-floral design elements for your wedding, please ask! If it’s not something we do, we can usually recommend a wonderful, trusted local vendor.
